A MOTORCYCLIST has been arrested following a crash in a Cotswold town which led to fuel being spilt on the road.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service and West Mercia Police attended a crash at 3.55pm on Wednesday, June 14 in Broadway.
A motorcyclist was arrested after providing a positive sample of breath following the crash on the A44 Fish Hill Broadway.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The collision happened at 3.55pm on Wednesday, June 14 between a motorcycle and car which caused disruption to other road users for some time as the emergency services worked to clear the road and recover the vehicles.
"We thank those held up for their patience while the road was cleared."
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said that a fuel spill followed the crash.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called out to a fuel spill after a road traffic collision in Broadway at 4.01pm on Wednesday.
“One Evesham Fire Station crew attended Fish Hill after the incident involving one car and a motorbike.
“A small amount of radiator fuel had leaked onto the carriageway. One casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.
"The crew made the vehicle safe and one lane of the carriageway was closed with the police in attendance. HWFRS left the scene at 4.37pm.”
