'KING Charles I' will be returning to the site of a historic Cotswold battle this weekend.
Daniel Williams, a King Charles I impersonator, will be appearing at the White Hart Royal Hotel in Moreton-in-Marsh this Saturday (June 14), for the anniversary of the Battle of Naseby.
The English Civil War battle saw Sir Thomas Fairfax, captain-general of Parliament's New Model Army, defeat the army of King Charles I.
Mr Williams, 49 from Sutton Coldfield, travels the UK sharing the history of King Charles I to support the great history and heritage of the UK
He said: "The White Hart Royal Hotel is truly an amazing building, full of amazing history and wonderful staff too.
"On display is the King's unpaid bill for his stay in 1645 written on vellum. He undoubtedly had other things on his mind with the next 'fateful' day that came."
