An abandoned car has been recovered by police.

The Shipston Safer Neighbourhood Team has moved a vehicle which was left abandoned near Tysoe.

The car had been left near the centre of the road with no note or call made to the police to explain why it had been left there.

Officers carried out a search of the immediate area to check their was nobody in distress, and no persons were found in or around the vehicle.

"If you are the driver and you leave your vehicle in this position then you are responsible until that is a police unit sees it then they are," said a Shipston SNT spokesperson.
