A gang of masked men smashed up a car using baseball bats and catapults, seriously hurting a man in the process.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Bishop’s Cleeve.
Two 4x4s, one black and one gold, were seen driving up and down Tobyfield Road.
They were reportedly seen repeatedly ramming into another vehicle before driving onto a member of the public’s property.
A group of men, a number from each car, then exited the vehicles and used bats and catapults loaded with ball bearings to smash a silver car, before driving off.
Police and ambulance personnel both attended the scene where a man was treated for “potentially serious injuries”.
Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnesses the incident o who has any information that could help to come forward.
