An elderly Cotswold man is due in court for alleged drug driving and possession of numerous illegal drugs.
Richard Carter, of Fisher House in Stow, is due to appear at court today after being charged with driving while over the limit of three different drugs, namely cocaine and MDMA.
The 70-year-old was alleged to have been driving a Ford Fiesta on Triangle Way in Gloucester on August 2 of this year while the proportion of benzoylecgonine, cocaine, and thylenedioxymethamphetamine exceeded specified limits.
On the same date, Carter was purported to have been in possession of various drugs including 3.28 grams of cocaine, 2.07 grams of cannabis, 3.78 grams of amphetamine, as well as five tablets of diazepam.
Carter is set to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 3.
