A Mickleton woman who drove while more than three and a half times over the limit has been banned from the roads for three years and ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency.
Amy Rooks, 39, of Granbrook Lane, Mickleton, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates Court to driving a Hyundai car in her home street on August 10 this year with 125mcgs of alcohol on her breath.
The legal limit is 35mcgs.
The magistrates imposed a one-year community order with six months alcohol treatment requirement.
She must also attend for up to 15 days on a rehabilitation activity programme.
She was fined £150 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim services surcharge of £114.
She was also disqualified from driving for three years but told that if she satisfactorily completes a Government approved driving course at her own expense by September 30, 2024, the ban will be reduced by 274 days.
