An adorable series of photographs show the animals at Cotswold Wildlife Park getting into the spooky season.
The creatures were handed jack-o-lanterns – minus the candles of course – which were then filled with their favourite treats.
Cotswold Wildlife Park creates season enrichment for its resident animals throughout the year to keep their minds and bodies active.
Chris Kibbey, assistant animal manager at Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens,: "The clocks are about to go back, the leaves are falling off the trees, and Keepers are able to show off their carving skills.
“This time of year is a good opportunity to provide some seasonal enrichment for some of our animals and pumpkins are great.
“They can be hollowed out, carved with a scary (or smiley) face and some of the animal’s favourite treats hidden inside.
“Our giant tortoises, meerkats, wolverines, tapirs, dwarf mongoose and anteaters were just some of the animals tucking into their seasonal treats here at the Park.
“The tamandua enjoyed using their long sticky tongue to slurp up mealworms in their pumpkin, with Orinoco dominating the occasion.
“The meerkats also had mealworms in theirs, although being omnivorous supplemented their diet with some pumpkin flesh too.
“Even Boots the armadillo couldn’t resist the temptation."
