THE life of the Queen was remembered with fondness at a special service at Gloucester Cathedral.
Dozens attended the service of commemoration and thanksgiving held yesterday afternoon, Sunday, led by the Rt Rev Rachel Treweek, Bishop of Gloucester.
Among those in attendance were Gloucestershire chief constable Rod Hansen, PCC Chris Nelson and Lady Bathurst of Cirencester Park.
Neighbourhood policing teams, specialist operations officers, the mounted unit, Special Constabulary and cadets were present outside the cathedral to ensure the event passed off safely.
A candlelit vigil on the eve of the state funeral was also held later.
