CHILDREN at flood-damaged St David's Primary School in Moreton are singing with joy at the prospect of returning to their normal classrooms.
The pupils have recorded a CD called Sing for Joy to celebrate the end of lessons in temporary buildings at the school, which they have been taught in since the school was badly hit by floods last July.
Head teacher Bob Forster, who also teaches music and singing at the school, came up with the idea of a celebratory CD, which children recorded at St David's Church.
"It will be given to all the families as a memento in recognition of the fact we have survived," said Mr Forster, who is expecting the refurbished school to back to normal when the children return from a slightly extended Spring holiday on April 23.
"There will be a lot of different songs on the CD," said Mr Forster.
