FOLLOWING last year's extremely successful sports training day for local children, the North Cotswolds Rotary Club are organising a repeat event in association with the Cotswold District Council.
The training day will be held at the Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water on Sunday, April 20 between 10 am and 4 pm and the sports tuition, which is free of charge, is open to children between the ages of seven and 13.
Playing fields, courts and the Astroturf surface will be used by coaches in a range of sports, which are planned to include football, hockey, cricket, netball, and rugby.
Personal equipment will be provided for use by children where necessary.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for North Cotswolds children to benefit from expert tuition in their chosen sports and to meet others with the same sporting interests - but make sure you apply early as places are limited," said organiser Rotarian David Marfell.
Approximately 80 places are on offer and those interested in attending should register with Bryan Lowden on 01451 833755. Light refreshments will be provided but children will need to bring a packed lunch.
