FUNERALS for the victims of the A429 car crash are being held this week and next.

The funeral for Natasha Didcote, 15, from Moreton, one of seven people killed in a head-on collision on Friday, March 7, will take place at St Davids Church, Moreton at 3.30pm tomorrow.

The service, which is expected to be attended by many of Natashas friends and fellow pupils from Chipping Campden School, will be followed followed by a private burial at the London Road cemetery in Moreton.

Natasha's mum, Lorna Didcote, 32, of Tinkers Close, Moreton, and her stepdad Phil Oliver, 38, have requested donations to the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society.

Natasha was interested in dolphins and her mum had taken her to Cuba to see them.

The funeral of Michola Jones, 31, from Moreton, a fellow passenger of Natasha's in a grey Peugeot 306, which collided head on with a green VW Passat on the A429 near Stow at 9.20pm on Friday, March 7, is due to take place at St David's on Thursday afternoon.

Michola, who leaves a daughter, Jade, 9, is also due to be buried at the London Road cemetery in Moreton. Her family have requested donations for children's charity Winstons Wish.

The funeral of Ryan Bott, 20, of Milton-under-Wychwood near Chipping Norton, will take place at 2.15pm on Thursday at Oxford Crematorium. Ryan, who was a cousin of Peugeot driver, Jason Brain, 35, was a keen footballer and his family have requested donations towards a memorial bench at Enstone Sport Club, where he played.

Funerals for the crash victims in the Passat - John Kirby, 63, his wife Maggie, 61, and their daughter, Julie, 34, all of Maugersbury Park, Stow - are to be held next week.

John and Julie will be cremated at a private invitation-only ceremony at Wellesbourne Crematorium next Tuesday.

The following day, the funeral for Maggie Kirby, chairman of the womens section of Stow Royal British Legion, will take place at St Edwards Church, Stow at 12 noon. John and Julie's ashes will be buried with her.

Rev David Francis, vicar of Stow, who will be conducting the service, said: "I imagine there will be a substantial turnout of family, friends, neighbours and members of the community.

"It is obviously Maggie Kirbys funeral but we will be remembering all three - Maggie, John and Julie - in the service and then going to the cemetery for a private interment."

Royal British Legion members are expected to be involved in the service and donations are requested for the RBL Poppy Appeal.

Donations for Natasha, Michola and the Kirbys can be made via funeral directors Allen & Son of Moreton and for Ryan Bott via Sole & Son of Chipping Norton.

The funeral of Mr Brain, is expected to be a private cremation service.
