EVESHAM Casuals recorded a thrilling victory over The Boxmen in the WCB Ind-oor League at Prince Henry's Sports Centre.

A topsy-turvy batting display saw The Boxmen stand at 46 off four overs and 99 off nine before the David Law-rence father and son partnership combined to add 28 runs off the final three overs to set a target of 128.

Ady Witts and Nick Powell had reduced this by 35 with only two overs bowled withe the latter racing to his 25 just 13 balls into the reply.

Ed Glyn kept the scoring rate down but Andy Fisher helped keep the run rate at around 12. After he retired along with Witts, it was left to brother Luke, Richard Steeds and latterly Mark Smith to steer the Casuals to victory with just two balls to spare.

Dumbleton returned to winning ways with an easy victory over a disappointing Temple Grafton outfit.

Pete Boorman and Matt Cull gave their side a fine platform a final total of 140-1 with Andy Powell, Bertie Thompson, Matt Nich-olson and Henry Prudden all chipping in with useful contributions.

Thompson then sho-wed his prowess with the ball conceding three runs off two overs and it was left to Liam Killian and Howard Benjamin to add 60 but it took them eight overs.

When the pair were dismissed, the Grafters were 70-3 with four overs left and the inn-ings subsided and two run-outs and a wicket for Boorman left Dumbleton winners by 60 runs.
