POLICE are warning shoppers in Chipping Norton to be on the look out for pickpockets.
It follows a recent incident in the town when a woman, who had taken out money from her bank to pay a tradesman found that that the money, which she had put in an envelope, had been stolen from her bag.
Sgt Rosemary Dilsaver of Chipping Norton police said: "This was a distressing ordeal for the lady concerned, however she wants other people to be aware of this and to be extra careful. Please beware of your surroundings and who is near you. Take extra care of your valuables and watch out for pick pockets."
