A RECRUITMENT day is being held at Cirencester Hospital for people wanting to find out about working for the NHS.

People who have previously worked in the NHS and looking to return and those who are thinking of the NHS for the first time are being invited to talk to staff about the variety of full or part-time jobs at Cirencester Hospital or locally in the NHS.

The event is being held from 10am to 12noon and 2pm to 6pm next Wednesday. (March 19) Nuala Ring, director of human resources at Gloucestershire Primary Care Trust said: "Working for the NHS can be a very rewarding job. It is not just about clinical staff that have years of training, roles are available for people in a variety of different areas and we would encourage anyone interested in working for us to come along and find out what they might be able to do."

Working for the NHS includes domestic and catering staff, portering, health care assistants, community nursing and administration.

Anyone who is unable to make it on the day but who would like more information, should call Cathy Guppy at Cirencester Hospital on 01285 884579 or visit www.jobs.nhs.uk where current vacancies can be found.
