Blockley Ladies 9, St Gregory's 0 THE first of a Saturday double-header saw Blockley facing a depleted opposing team of only nine players.
Alice Drinkwater opened the scoring before Sarah Rickey and Shirley Aubrey made it 3-0 at half-time.
The final scoreline depicts the one-sided nature of the contest but the home side didn't have it all their own way.
The start of the second half saw the visitors try their luck when the hosts lost a little of their momentum but Blockley soon composed themselves and added six more goals courtesy of Kerry Jackson, Fiona Drinkwater (3) and a second one for sister Alice.
Blockley 5, Lansdown III 0 BLOCKLEY started positively working as a unit and showing good short passing skills through the field.
Fiona Drinkwater's ability to outrun her markers brought reward with the opening and third goal. Jo Peachey struck the second neatly into the bottom of the goal from a penalty corner.
After the interval, Alice Drinkwater received an accurate pass from her sister to make it 4-0, while eldest sister Olivia added the final goal to complete a successful Saturday.
The next match is against Lansdowne at Pates School, Cheltenham on Saturday (2pm).
