THE Jentin-Lloyds British Superbike team has just completed six days testing at the Pirelli Tyre Test in Guadix southern Spain.
For the next three years, both Superbike and Supersports will be using only Pirelli tyres selecting only from different compounds making competition much closer and even more exciting for the fans!
Following a schedule developed by team manager Bernard Toleman, times improved consistently each day over the first three days.
This put the Jentin-Lloyds British team in pole position but, with the arrival of the factory teams, this gradually eroded the advantage but not by a great deal.
With the arrival of the factory teams it became clear just how much Jentin-Lloyds British had improved on last year with Evesham rider Simon Andrews continuing to lap consistently on the new engine and standard gearbox.
The test was a complete success with the end result being that, although the Factory Ducatis were not present, the other factory bikes were, but still not that much faster than Jentin-Lloyds British.
