STOW Rugby Club is hosting its annual Primary Schools Tag Rugby Tournament on Friday.
The event plays an important part in the club's community support programme and is organised in conjunction with the Cotswold School. Ten primary schools have entered teams from Years Five and Six this year.
The tournament starts at 9.30am with a training session in the morning for the school teams from Stow's Minis coaches.
A major focus of this year's tournament is to promote girls rugby at this level and, as an incentive, one option being considered to encourage participation is that any try scored by a girl should be awarded two points, instead of the normal one!
