ACTORS from the Everyman Theatre Company in Cheltenham have been helping Winchcombe School pupils with their studies.
The actors visited the school recently to help students prepare for their Shakespeare SATS exam.
They performed a 10-minute condensed version of Much Ado About Nothing and two set scenes they are studying in detail.
In addition, the students were given the chance to act and involve themselves in the activities on offer.
Student Dalton Woodward said: "The play was outstanding. Everyone in the year benefited from the way they presented it and brought it to life."
Fellow student Fred Raistrick, added: "It really opened my eyes to the genius of Shakespeare."
Abbie Shurmer said: "They gave me an unforgettable insight into the two set scenes we are studying."
Winchcombe School head of English Sarah Teague, said: "The actors from the Everyman Theatre Company helped to bring this Shakespearean play to life and to see its relevance in 2008 for 14 year olds.
"It also gave students a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Shakespeare's language and to work closely alongside actors."
