Evesham Utd 2, Cinderford Tn 1
MARK Owen came off the bench to snatch a crucial three points in Evesham's push for the title.
Relegated to the bench, the Robins rarely looked like unhinging a Cinderford defence and the hosts trailed 1-0 at half-time when sloppy marking in stoppage-time left Ben Davies with an easy finish.
Steve Luckett had Evesham's best chance but could only shoot tamely at Paul Tassell from six yards.
However, it was the visiting keeper who gifted Paul West's men an equaliser arfter 70 minutes when he spilled a shot from Owen and Michael Hayden pounced to find the net from close-range.
Gary Hay then executed a sweet turn inside the Town 18-yard area to leave Owen clear on goal and a typical finish from eight yards earned Evesham the points.
The win restored United's seven-point lead at the summit after Leamington lost 4-2 at home to Chasetown.
