A SECOND defeat of the Stratford Alliance season for Bretforton Old Boys leaves them three points adrift of Herald Division Two leaders Bidford reserves.

The Old Boys lost 4-2 at Seven Stars while the section leaders were indebted to a goal from Darren George to see off Cubbington in the League Cup.

Bidford's senior side also secured knockout success after a 3-1 Aquaid first division cup win at Ilmington thanks to goals from Greg Castle, Kevin Ward and Adam Wood.

The match of the day was the Cutler Division Three cup clash that saw Red Alert defeat Blockley 6-5 on penalties.
