THE seven-year-old mare, Symbiosis, bought by Kahlil Burke for 7,500 guineas at Doncaster Sales last May from Nigel Twiston-Davies' yard, gave the up and coming young Irish trainer yet more success when winning the Novices' Chase impressively at Market Rasen on Sunday.
Ridden by Liam Heard, Symbiosis tracked the leaders throughout the two-mile two-furlong contest, jumping and travelling well before leaping to the front at the last and going on to win by five lengths.
Bourton trainer Burke said: "She's a decent mare who has finally got her head in front after running with credit all winter on ground that wouldn't have been ideal for her.
"She now goes for the Mares' Final at Newbury at the end of the month which has been her target all season."
Looking forward to next week's Festival where he hopes to have three runners, Burke added: "It's all systems go now for Cheltenham.
"Lemon Silk, Mange Tout and Gardasee are all in good form and it's just a matter of making the final decision on which races they run in.
"At this stage, it looks likely that Lemon Silk will go for the Fred Winter, Mange Tout will run in the cross-country and Gardasee, if he gets in, will go for the Jewson."
