THE Stratford-Upon-Avon Motorcycle Club are holding the Colmore Cup Trial near Bourton-on-the-Hill on Sunday.
Round two of the British Clubmans Championship, the Colmore Cup is the oldest trial in the current calendar being first held in 1912. Past winners include legendary names such as Sammy Miller, Steve Saunders and Dougie Lampkin.
A test of machine control, skill and bravery over a cross country course, the route includes numerous locations around the Cotswolds.
This year spectators are particularly welcome at Hancocks Wood near the top of Fish Hill and Western Wood which is found just off the Chipping Campden road.
Among the top competitors entered for this year's event are past winners Graham Jarvis, Sam Connor, Dan Thorpe and Ross Danby runner-up in the 2007 World Youth Championship.
Also taking on the men at their own game are Britain's top lady riders Becky Cook and Katy Sunter.
The first rider starts at Downs Farm near Bourton on the Hill at 9am, the rest of the 100-rider field follows at one minute intervals.
They travel to Dovedale Wood, then Camp near Hinchwick, Grove Quarry near Temple Guiting, then on to Top Farm near Buckland, then past Broadway Tower to Hancocks Wood at the top of Fish Hill.
Riders should be at Hancocks around midday where there will be easy spectator access.
From Hancocks they ride to Saintbury Quarry where there is strictly no parking, then round the corner to Western Wood which is off the Campden Road.
This is also an excellent place for spectators as there is plenty of parking.
