THE Wheelers' Antiques Roadshow group took a trip out to Wootton Wawen last Wednesday when they visited Offenham, Cleeve Prior, Bidford, Wixford, and Great Alne.
Riders returned via Aston Cantlow, Billesley, The Graftons and Bidford before the run back to Evesham with 40 miles covered.
Sunday saw the Evesham club's Reliability Trial that saw 50 competitors cover 50 miles in fewer than four hours.
The group left the High Street and took a circular route via Broadway, Mickleton, Ilmington, Lower Quinton, Binton, Wixford, Rad- ford, Bishampton, Fladbury and Charlton with the finish at Raphael's Restaurant.
The event is always popular and this year was no exception. It's an early season run that usually sees the cyclists battling against the weather.
Elements were favourable and participants were pushed along for most of the course by a following wind with the fastest group clocking two hours and 35 minutes.
The club's annual road race takes place on March 16 when 80 of the top amateur riders compete on a course through the Vale. The race HQ is at Inkberrow Village Hall and takes in some challenging climbs in The Lenches.
This Sunday's club run is to Warwick leaving the High Street at 9.15am.
