MEMBERS of the public are being urged to attend a meeting in Moreton next week to discuss plans for a skateboard park in the town.
The meeting at the Redesdale Hall on Thursday, March 6 at 7pm is an opportunity for local residents to comment on the proposal to build the park on land at the Fire Service College.
Those attending the meeting will have the chance to ask questions of town councillors and give their opinions of the scheme, particularly in relation to the location and its distance out of the town and whether it will be used by skateboarders and bladers.
Town clerk Heather Sipthorp said: "Everyone is welcome. The council needs to hear your opinions before making the final decision as to whether this project and location is a viable one."
