Mickleton's goal spree is a title taster

ALDERTON took a step nearer second division safety after a comfortable win over Inkberrow.

Basement club Bengeworth Sports earned a rare Division Three win over Tesco United when the the goals came from Clements (2) and Martin.

A first half Thomas strike dented Pinvin United's promotion hopes at Honeybourne Gate Inn, Eckington were held at home by ever improving Stour Excelsior while Ashton and Defford and Besford failed to find the net in a dour encounter.

Pebworth maintained their Division Four promotion hopes after a three-goal win at Ambassador Reserves with goals from Charman, Sprigg and James.

Riverside dropped valuable points as they were held at home by Talbot with Heritage netting twice for Riverside with Hardiman repeating the feat for Talbot.

The Division One relegation battle between Evesham WMC and Upton Snodsbury ended in stalemate. Grove gave the Workies the lead before Tony McLean levelled matters.

Broadway United moved towards safety with victory over Gardeners Arms as Gary Evans netted twice.

There was heartbreak for Red Horse as they lost out to Callow End in the semi-final of the WFA Sunday Junior Cup but there was better news in the Minor Cup as Crowle reached the last four.

Oddfellows Arms moved into the last four of the Evesham Mechanical Services Subsidiary Cup after victory over Golden Cross thanks to goals from Sears and Reading.
