A man claiming to be from a well-known animal shelter stole items after being invited into a house.
Police are calling for witnesses and CCTV footage of an event on Moor Avenue, Witney, where a man claimed to be from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, knocked on the door of a property, showed interest in some items on display and then entered.
After he left, the victim noticed an item on display was missing.

Common methods include pretending to be from a care agency, the council or a utility company.
They also commonly work in teams, with one person distracting the victim while the other searches the home.
