West Oxfordshire Conservative Associaton welcomed Tory leadership hopeful Liz Truss to Carterton this afternoon.
County councillor Liam Walker, who represents Hanborough and Minster Lovell, tweeted: "This afternoon we welcomed @trussliz to Carterton to meet with members of WOCA.
"Although I’m supporting @RishiSunak in this contest it was great to meet & hear from Liz. No matter who wins we must unite behind our new leader & take the fight to #Labour!"
Mr Walker and Ms Truss were pictured with Witney MP Robert Courts.
The two leadership candidates Ms Truss and former Chancellor Rishi Sunak will make their pitch to party members at a hustings in Cheltenham tonight.
The new Conservative leader will be announced on September 5.
On September 6 Boris Johnson will quit as Prime Minister to allow his successor to take over.
