A street collection in Witney for a cat rescue charity in West Oxfordshire has raised £186.12.
Run entirely by volunteers, Sunshine Cat Rescue’s aim is to reduce the suffering of cats and kittens in need of care by providing shelter until new homes are found, whilst trying to reduce the number needing help.
The charity’s Julie Stoney said: “We have been successful in obtaining some grants from animal charities, but apart from that depend upon fundraising to maintain and administer the charity.
“We attend several local fetes and events throughout the year, running tombolas, raffles and selling goods and also host an annual Christmas fayre, inviting other charities to join us.
“We also celebrated our 10th year anniversary this year.”
