FOREST Green Rovers manager Rob Edwards is emerging as the lead candidate for the Watford job just a few days after winning the League Two title.
Watford were relegated from the Premier League last weekend but manager Roy Hodgson had already confirmed his departure beforehand and now the search for his successor looks close to coming to an end with Edwards in 'advanced talks' with the club according to The Athletic.

Edwards appears to be top of the list for The Hornets and it is no surprise after the season he has had with Rovers, guiding them into League One after winning the League Two title last weekend at Mansfield.
