A Cotswold care home is to undergo a £300,000 refurbishment.
Brompton House in Broadway will benefit from the upgrade following a major investment from owners HC-One.
Sara MacCormack, HC-One’s area director, is looking forward to seeing the work get underway and believes it will be of huge benefit to the residents.
She said: “We are committed to fostering an environment that really feels like home, and décor and facilities are an important part of this.
“We are really excited about the plans for Brompton House and for the work to get safely underway.
“We look forward to seeing the end result, and when it is safe to do so, welcoming more visitors to see our new look.”
The 40-bed care home on Station Road will see a number of changes and renovations to the living areas.
The home’s reception area, hair salon, corridors and lounge will all undergo a full decoration.
New flooring, fixtures and fittings will also be installed in other areas such as bathrooms and work on the conservatory has also gotten underway.
Work at Brompton House is expected to be completed in July 2022 and the owners have promised that residents will not be impacted by the ongoing works.
The project is part of HC-One’s £54.5 million refurbishment and upgrade programme which will benefit 221 of the company’s homes.
A spokesperson for the company said: “As the largest care home refurbishment programme in the UK, HC-One is transforming its homes for the benefit of the residents and colleagues who live and work in them, and for the local communities they serve.
“The upgrades will mean that every HC-One home will be equipped to meet the needs of an ageing population with increasingly complex care needs – including dementia care needs.
