RACHEL Blackmore was again the star of the show as she became the first female to ride a Cheltenham Gold Cup winner in the history of the event last week.
Following on from winning the Aintree Grand National and Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2021, Blackmore continued to write her name into the history books as she stormed to victory on board pre-race favourite A Plus Tard.
She said after the race: "I just can't believe it. I'm so lucky to be getting to ride all these kind of horses.
"You have all these plans about how things are going to work out. Racing doesn't let that happen all the time and for some reason it's happened to me today. I just can't explain how lucky I feel."
