The children of a Gloucestershire couple who lost their lives in a suspected double murder have said they are 'devastated'.
The bodies of Clive and Valerie Warrington were found at addresses in Cheltenham and Bourton-on-the-Water yesterday morning (Wednesday).
A man who was arrested on suspicion of their murder remains in custody, with police granted a 12-hour custody extension this morning.
"We are devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our parents," a statement said.
"We thank everyone for their messages of love and support, which are of great comfort to us.
"We would like to request privacy at this time so that we can come to terms with what has happened and grieve in peace with the rest of the family."
The family are receiving support from Gloucestershire police's dedicated family liaison officers.
