Over a thousand lambs are about to be born at a Cotswolds farm.
Next month, celebrity farmer Adam Henson and the team at Cotswold Farm Park will be welcoming guests back to the farm for the annual lambing and kidding event, with 600 ewes due to give birth.
This comes following a two-year break, with the farm having delivered its spring births behind closed doors in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid restrictions.
Countryfile and Lambing Live presenter Adam said: “Lambing is one of the most exciting times of the year in the farming calendar, so I’m looking forward to getting visitors involved in all of the action and seeing the 600 ewes give birth.
“We’ll be bringing the ewes inside any day now ready for this year’s event and it won’t be long until the first lambs arrive!”
Scanning of the ewes took place last week and the Farm Park has said it is expecting over a thousand lambs to arrive.
As well as over 600 commercial and rare breed ewes, the Guiting Power attraction is set to welcome a wide variety of new-borns including goats, piglets, and guinea pigs, with visitors able to get up close to all of them.
Experts will also be giving daily talks, so guests can find out more about the animals.
While the Park doesn’t reopen until Monday, February 14, visitors can start following the action now with behind-the-scenes content shared across the farm’s social media.
The lambing and kidding event runs until April 24 and tickets are available to purchase in advance now from www.cotswoldfarmpark.co.uk.
