A Cotswolds Brownie leader has been recognised for over a decade of service.
Daphne Walton was presented with a Gloucestershire Girl Guiding County Thanks Award on Thursday night.
In over ten years of volunteering, she has helped inspire countless girls at Brownies and Rainbows in Chipping Campden and Moreton.
She said: “It was a huge, unexpected, surprise. Thank You so much to all those who organised for this to be presented to me, it is an honour, and to the wonderful Brownies who stood up and said such kind and lovely things about me.
“I have now reorganised my badge tab and it has pride of place in the centre, underneath my Promise badge.
“I am feeling very appreciated and a very grateful ‘Barn Owl.’
“I enjoy volunteering with Girl guiding Gloucestershire very much, it is such rewarding and worthwhile way to spend time.”
