The alleged stalker banned from going within 500m of David Beckham’s Cotswolds mansion claims she is the mother of one of his children, police said.
Sharon Bell, 58, was made subject to the stalking protection order at Westminster Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.
The order, which is in place for five months, bans the Watford woman from going within 500 metres of the Beckham family’s homes near Chipping Norton and in West London, Harper Beckham’s school in the capital and from approaching David and Victoria Beckham or their four children.
The Metropolitan Police, which applied to the courts for the order, said the family had been ‘subjected to a campaign of harassment’ by Bell.
The Watford woman contacted the Beckham family claiming to be the mother of one of their children. “She is not related to the family in any way,” a Met spokesman said.
Between July and November 2021, Bell went to the family’s homes, waited outside one of the children's school and sent the family letters.
On December 16, the Metropolitan Police told Westminster Magistrates’ Court that Bell had carried out ‘acts associated with stalking’ and that the order was ‘necessary to protect’ the Beckhams.
An interim order was made for five months. At a hearing on May 13, the court will decide whether a permanent stalking protection order is necessary.
Breaking any of the terms of the order could result in Bell being sent to prison.
Representatives for the Beckhams have been approached for comment.
