STEVE Kirby has become the inaugural Seniors Club Championship champion following his win at the Vale Golf Club last weekend.
44 players contested the event played of the yellow tees in a strokeplay format with the winner playing with the lowest gross score over 27 holes.
18 holes were played in the morning and nine in the afternoon on what was a glorious summer's day.
Mr Kirby held his nerve with a score of 129 to secure the title, with Mike Hird the runner-up following a score of 132. Third place was secured on countback by Michael Starkey (132) and Diulio Perla came fourth with 133.
