Violent crime has reached its highest level in a decade across England and Wales with Gloucestershire seeing a 40 percent increase.
Analysis by The Times shows that there has been a big rise in drug feuds, domestic violence and hate crime attacks.
In two thirds of police forces in England and Wales, statistics show violent offences in July 2020 were at their highest in nearly a decade.
Gloucestershire has had the largest increase in violent crime with a 39 per cent rise, according to police data on ukcrimestats.com.
The analysis shows that there has also been a big increase in hate crimes since lockdown.
