FIVE students are celebrating after receiving offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge.
The students from Bourton-on-the-Water comprehensive, The Cotswold School, have won offers to study at the prestigious universities.
Emma Ramsay (geography), Milo Wills (French and German), Anna Hall (biochemistry) and Beth Jones (history) have all received offers to study at Oxford, while Cambridge offered Freddie O’Sullivan a place to study French and history.
As part of the support it offered to help students prepare, The Cotswold School organised several practice interviews for each Oxbridge applicant.

Head of Sixth Form and vice-principal Phil White said: “We’re proud of all of our students who applied to Oxbridge this year, and grateful to our network of local contacts, as well as our teachers, for providing our students with challenging interviews.”
Beth said: “The interview process, although at times gruelling, was a great experience and has set me up well for any future interviews I may have.
"If I could offer advice to future applicants, it would be, just have confidence in yourself and your abilities; enjoy the experience and meet new people, because you might as well have fun while you’re there!”
The Cotswold School has consistently been rated Outstanding by Ofsted. In 2019, 42 per cent of A-level grades were A* or A; and 25 per cent of its students achieved three or more A* or A grades.
