DUMPED tyres, cans, fast food containers and paper were among the rubbish collected by volunteers in a village litter pick near Stow.
A band of volunteers from Church and Nether Westcote met on Saturday to clean up the hedges and verges of the two villages and along the A424.
Trevor Bigg, Chairman of Westcote Parish Meeting, said: "Every year the Cotswold District Council run the ‘Keep the Cotswolds Clean’ campaign.
"The council provides gloves, litter pickers, hi-visibility tabards and black sacks - and arranges to collect the rubbish afterwards. We provide the volunteer labour.
"It’s great to see community spirit flourishing in Westcote and we are all delighted to do our bit to support the campaign".
