PRUDDEN Derek Alfred Reginald February 7th 1927 September 20th 2018 Derek Prudden has passed away; midnight was the time of day. At Bricklehampton Hall, near to Pershore. Cared for years, three nearly four. Ninety one years of age this year, Family and Friends will miss him dear. His home was Harvington for all those years. Through many springs, summers, autumns and winters. In foreign parts the British Army his new family became. India, Calcutta, street fighting, Hindu against Muslim. With the Worcesters and the Beds and Herts. Three years on he'd done his tour. Home beckoned, his darling Peggy biding her time. Demob; barrack room and standing guard no more. In Civvy Street with 'Peg' their marriage they planned. The Midland Red Bus Company was to be his employ. Driving a bus o'er Evesham Vale. We children arrived five in all Happy was our childhood Fond memories of mum and dad. So let him join his life's love Peggy to rest together in the cemetery. No words can really explain grief, express the heartache with relief. So it's farewell Dad, with this sad chore, signed son Terry and the other four.
