SCENES from the old television series Call my Bluff were recreated in Shipston at a charity fundraising event.
Call My Wine Bluff held on April 26 at the Sheldon Bosley Hub attracted 180 people who enjoyed tasting the wines from Sheldon’s Wine Cellars.
The event raised £7,000 in total for Shipston Home Nursing with £3,790 from a six-lot auction and £1,186 from the raffle.
Simon Miesegaes, charity trustee, came up with the idea of adding wine to the Call my Bluff concept along with a panel of three local radio and television personalities.
Guests were entertained by panalists Mark Pougatch, BBC 5live Sports Report and (Ashes) breakfast presenter, Cornelius Lysaght BBC Racing correspondent and Beverley Cressman, QVC Channel Guest Presenter.
Debbie Foster, assistant fundraiser, said: "Many thanks to Sheldon's Wine Cellars for their generous sponsorship and time. Behind the scenes, 910 glasses were poured and washed up over the five wines tasted and a further 360 glasses for the tables.
"We are so grateful to those who donated auction and raffle prizes. Thank you for supporting Shipston Home Nursing in the way you did and with such spirit."
